15: Ashton – ‘Here is Gone’

Lily Ashton (Young Adult), Mark McMaster (Young Adult)

Finding out that she was pregnant was quite a pleasant shock to Lily. She didn’t discover it until she was nearly into her second trimester. Telling Mark had been interesting–it came out of seemingly nowhere. After the initial surprise wore off, they were able to bask in the happiness of the occasion. They hadn’t actually discussed children, but neither one were against the idea of them, either.

14: Ashton – ‘She’s So High’

Lily Ashton (Young Adult), Mark McMaster (Young Adult)

Mark McMaster and Lily Ashton were finding that the act of actually getting married entailed a lot more work than either of them had realized. It had been a completely spontaneous thing, honestly. It was the right thing, but perhaps Mark could have gone about it in a better way and not in the wake of guilt brought on by his little affair.

Lily was clueless as to all of that, her brain far too occupied by all of the planning. She was in such a frenzy that she kept breaking everything. Mark teased her about it constantly. At least he was relatively handy.

13: Ashton/McMaster – ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’

Lily Ashton (Young Adult), Mark McMaster (Young Adult)

Mark McMaster was suffering from every would-be author went through–writer’s block. It was an affliction that consumed him, making every single word he couldn’t type like a personal insult. He just didn’t understand it. It was almost as if he’d lost the spark that had urged him to put his feelings into words.

Whatever the cause, he needed to figure it out and quick. He’d finally gotten some interest in his work and he was on a firm deadline now to produce something amazing.

12: Ashton – ‘Save Tonight’

Lily Ashton (Young Adult)

Lily Ashton was beginning to get frustrated. She’d tried to distract herself and break away from Mark McMaster, but that had only led her down the path of dating a married man. It had also made her realize that she didn’t want to date anyone else. She wanted Mark.

Unfortunately, Mark was being his usual self–evasive and capricious.

11: Ashton – ‘Sour Girl’

Lily Ashton (Young Adult)

Lily Ashton was dating Garrett Ackerman, a rising sports star on the same team as Dominic Cosaro. Despite being older than Lily, the two found a common ground in their shared chemistry and interests. Garrett always made sure that Lily was having a good time and he’d helped her get her foot in the door of the music industry. Big named people were looking over her lyrics and Lily could hardly contain her excitement.

10: Ashton – ‘Brick By Boring Brick’

Lily Ashton (Young Adult)

Lily Ashton moved from Aperture Valley into the city in hopes of pursuing a career in writing music.  She was talented enough, it was just a matter of getting a foot in the door.  It was proving to be more difficult than she had anticipated.

She woke up late most days, a headache forming behind her eyes from the night before.  It appeared that the music types liked to party.  If she wanted to successfully schmooze her way in, she had to keep up.  It made for some pretty interesting nights, at the very least.

9: Ryder – ‘My Favorite Game’

Cherie Ashton (Elder), Khalid Ryder (Elder), Lily Ashton (Teen), Jessica Ryder (Teen), Jack Ryder (Teen)

Having a younger, mischievous brother was a pain in the butt.  Mix teenage hormones with the need to rebel, and it was like living in a war zone.  Jessica had always gotten along with her younger brother, Jack, but lately… she wanted to punch him in the face.

She was tired of him switching out her shampoo for hair dye!

8: Ryder – ‘Outshined’

Cherie Ashton (Elder), Khalid Ryder (Adult), Lily Ashton (Teen), Jessica Ryder (Child), Jack Ryder (Child)

Cherie had not looked forward to her milestone birthday at all.  Getting old wasn’t something she’d ever really come to terms with, but here she was, old.  The tiny age gap between her and Khalid seemed like a chasm now.  The only thing that kept her feeling young was that she didn’t have any grandchildren yet.

She wasn’t quite ready to be a grandma!

7: Ryder – ‘Scar Tissue’

Cherie Ashton (Adult), Khalid Ryder (Adult), Lily Ashton (Teen), Jessica Ryder (Child), Jack Ryder (Child)

Jack Ryder was finally in school with his older sister, Jessica.  Unfortunately, this meant that he had to deal with his friends teasing him about ‘girl cooties’.  He didn’t think Jessica had any, though.  They’d always gotten along.  Jack had two sisters.  He didn’t really believe in girl cooties.

Besides, if they did exist, wouldn’t he have a rash or something by now?

6: Ryder/Martel – ‘Say It Ain’t So’

Cherie Ashton (Adult), Khalid Ryder (Adult), Luis Martel (Teen), Lily Ashton (Child), Jessica Ryder (Child), Jack Ryder (Toddler)

Lily was glad to have another girl closer to her age around the house.  Jessica was still a few years younger, but she was still old enough to help pull pranks on Luis.  They would often sneak into his room and set a trap.  It was all in good fun.
