12: McMaster – ‘Cycle’

Patrick McMaster (Elder),  Philip McMaster (Young Adult), Bianca McMaster (Young Adult), Mark McMaster (Young Adult), Dylan McMaster (Baby)

Bianca McMaster was quite pleased with her life at late. Little Dylan’s birth had brought back a bit of life into the house. Everything had been rather mournful since Noreen’s passing. With Dylan in the picture, everyone perked up a bit. It was a shame that Noreen never got to see her grandson.

11: McMaster 2 – ‘That’s What You Get’

Catherine McMaster (Young Adult), Juliet McMaster (Young Adult)

Looking at Juliet McMaster, one would assume she was the ‘bookish’ type who liked to play chess alone and read long, pondering novels. They’d be wrong. Juliet was quite smart and she’d graduated valedictorian of her class in high school, but she was anything but ‘bookish.’ Opting not to attend university, Juliet instead celebrated her freedom by throwing truly impressive parties.

Juliet had always been that way. She had a way about her that just made social situations easy.

11: Summer Birth (McMaster)

Philip and Bianca McMaster have been impatiently awaiting the arrival of their first child all winter and spring long.  Now, finally, summer has come and along with it, Bianca’s due date.

Bianca goes into labor on a hot, spring afternoon and Philip dutifully takes her to the hospital.  He doesn’t freak out too badly.  He’s seen horses give birth, after all.  It’s hard to come back from that experience.

Little Dylan McMaster is born healthy and happy several hours later.  After the first few nights, Philip begins to realize why most parents are cranky… they don’t sleep.  Ever.

Welcome to the world, Dylan!

I’m not doing realistic aging, but with seasons, I like the idea of sims having their babies in the semi-appropriate season.  So you get these.  I may also do weddings this way.  ;)

11: McMaster – ‘Follow You Down’

Patrick McMaster (Elder), Noreen McMaster (Elder),  Philip McMaster (Young Adult), Bianca Ornelas (Young Adult), Mark McMaster (Young Adult)

Philip McMaster wasn’t nervous as he greeted his long-time best friend, Luis Martel.  He was getting married within the hour, but he was cool as cucumber.  Outside, the temperature was rapidly dropping and it had been snowing for hours.  Winter had just barely begun and already, they knew it was going to be pretty harsh.

“You’re next!”  Philip joked, giving Luis a friendly jab.

“Not until it’s warm,” Luis said, glancing at the open door as another blast of cold air entered the room.  Oskar shuffled in and closed it behind him.  Luis shivered.  “I’ll never get used to the cold.”

Philip laughed.  “You’re in the wrong neck of the woods for warmth, man.”

10: McMaster – ‘Undone’

Patrick McMaster (Elder), Noreen McMaster (Elder),  Philip McMaster (Young Adult), Mark McMaster (Young Adult), Juliet McMaster (Teen), Catherine McMaster (Teen)

Things did not start off well for the McMaster family.  Their beloved horse, Old Roy, was on his last legs.  Death came to collect him during the night while everyone was asleep.  Only Dolly and Drifter were there to see him off.

He had lived a good, long life.  Now he could join his former master, Sheila, in the afterlife.

9: McMaster – ‘What Goes Around… Comes Around’

Patrick McMaster (Elder), Noreen McMaster (Elder),  Philip McMaster (Young Adult), Mark McMaster (Teen), Juliet McMaster (Teen), Catherine McMaster (Teen)

Patrick and Noreen McMaster were beginning to question their chances at grandchildren.  It had always seemed like they’d be ‘young’ grandparents.  Philip and Gwendolyn seemed on the fast-track to marriage, until that train had derailed into one terrible mess.  Philip was better now and Noreen had the sneaking suspicion it had something to do with a certain blonde sneaking out in the early morning hours.

She just hoped that this was the end of it instead of a new beginning.  Love wasn’t always enough to hold two people together, sometimes there needed to be more.

8: McMaster – ‘Pretty Noose’

Patrick McMaster (Elder), Noreen McMaster (Elder),  Philip McMaster (Young Adult), Mark McMaster (Teen), Juliet McMaster (Teen), Catherine McMaster (Teen)

Philip McMaster was doing everything in his power to forget about how abruptly he’d been dumped by Gwendolyn Mosley.  The shock of it all had finally worn off, leaving only anger and sadness in its wake.  Philip still loved her, he wasn’t the type to just ‘turn something off’ the second it became difficult… but he wasn’t sure if he’d ever want to be with her again.  Especially not with the rumors that had been flying around lately.

They’d only been broken up for two months and already he was hearing about her running around with his step-cousin, Stefan Novak.  What the hell was up with that?

7: McMaster – ‘Good Feeling’

Patrick McMaster (Elder), Noreen McMaster (Elder),  Philip McMaster (Young Adult), Mark McMaster (Teen), Juliet McMaster (Child), Catherine McMaster (Child)

Philip McMaster was pleased to finally be done with school.  It had gotten in the way of his responsibilities for long enough.  He was a ‘salt of the earth’ kind of guy, so college really didn’t appeal to him.  He’d remain home and care for the horses.

Drifter was grown now and ready to be trained.  His mother, Dolly, was already making waves when it came to the jumping races.  Old Roy, unfortunately, was too old to compete now and just mostly hung around the farm.

6: McMaster – ‘Meant to Live’

Patrick McMaster (Adult), Noreen McMaster (Adult),  Philip McMaster (Teen), Mark McMaster (Child), Juliet McMaster (Child), Catherine McMaster (Child)

Philip McMaster was a senior in high school now, which meant he had more time to dedicate to his chores around the house.  He had pretty much taken over all of his late grandma Sheila’s duties.  They weren’t chores for him, he enjoyed them.  He loved being outside and around the horses.  Old Roy was a champion racer, but Dolly didn’t have the luxury of being trained by Sheila for very long, so he’d started working with her.  She was a natural jumper.

Their foal, Drifter, was proving to be a very capable horse, as well.

5: McMaster – ‘The Way’

Sheila McMaster (Elder), Patrick McMaster (Adult), Noreen McMaster (Adult),  Philip McMaster (Teen), Mark McMaster (Child), Juliet McMaster (Toddler), Catherine McMaster (Toddler)

The twin girls, Catherine and Juliet, were growing rapidly.  As much as Noreen loved having baby girls, she was happy to see them growing.  Dealing with two babies was exhausting and especially so when you had other children to look after.

The girls each seemed to favor one parent over the other; Catherine had Noreen’s hair while Juliet had Patrick’s.
